Dear Christian Family,
It has been some time since I last wrote an update regarding the ministries of Ambassadors International. As some of you know, this spring has been one of trials for me in terms of health with a few complications arising from the matter of my liver transplant in 1991. We have been to the University Hospital here in Denver often and even made a trip to Cleveland Clinic where I went through two days of vigorous testing to see if anyone could come to a conclusion on the cause of my illness. No one has found an answer to this point. The good news is that I am still functioning day by day but not with the same strength and vigor I once knew. As a result we do not get out and about like we used to in fundraising and in meeting the people in the churches. This discouraged us somewhat but in the midst of the discouragement the Lord worked.
Recently we have had two other couples who knew about my illness step forward to fill that gap for us. Both couples are doing a tremendous ministry of representing Ambassadors. Torrey Jaspers and his wife Jalene (and kids) are out and about in their meetings presenting the work of Ambassadors and having great success in doing so. Also, Bert and Carol Kuehner are representing Ambassadors both in Canada and on the East Coast. Bert is the pastor of Fundamental Baptist Church in Chipman, New Brunswick. They have seen a great response to their ministry as people hear about our work and the ministry of Ambassadors. The Jaspers and the Kuehners join forces with Bob and Sue Niehoff, our Heartland Representatives since 2006. What a team!
The end result is that the Lord’s working through these couples to prosper Ambassador’s ministries, especially in the area of finances. One has to just stand in awe of the Lord. When we begin to think everything rests on our shoulders, the Lord turns the tables and shows us that His ministry is His work and He will care for the needs as they are presented. We give Him the glory as we learn once again the fact that if God does not work, nothing works.
Along this same line, we are happy to announce that Kevin Davis is working on our new website. Kevin is doing this for the Lord using his own personal time and expense to get the site up and running. Right now you can take a look at the progress by going to www.myaimi.org. We will have some interesting features on the website like a devotional, a blog, a list of missionaries and a presentation of the ministries we are involved with in Africa. Hopefully the site will be completed soon. When the website is finished, there will be the possibility of donating via credit/debit card. We are so thankful for men like Kevin who volunteer their time and talent for the Lord’s glory. When the Lord works, everything works.
Rene and Sonia Einfeldt are home on leave for the next few months. They will be sharing what the Lord is doing through them in Kimberley, South Africa. Their ministry is vital and exciting. I am sure the churches they visit will be blessed with their report. Their son, Ryan, is getting married in a month or so. We celebrate the joining of Ryan and Rachel in marriage and wish them God’s greatest blessings as they begin life together as husband and wife.
The Bailey twins, Kara and Katherine, are returning to the field to work at the Pines. They will be helping to fill in for Brian and Lois as they come home for a month’s break. Pray for Kara and Katherine as they travel and begin their stay at the Pines. Brian and Lois continue to do an outstanding job with the work at the Pines. Africa is Africa with all its uncertainties but in the midst of it all the Niehoffs stand and do the ministry in a compassionate and wonderful way. For this we thank the Lord daily.
We are thankful for all the teams that go to the Pines to help out with the ministry. There has been a steady flow of teams this year each bringing to the ministry unique and God glorifying helps. Already we are working with Brian and Lois on some teams for 2008. There is nothing quite like getting involved with the ministry on the field in this manner. Most everyone who has travelled with a team has been impacted in a terrific way in the area of mission outreach.
I once said in a sermon that my life will be measured not in what I myself have accomplished but by how much I have positively influenced others in the work of the Lord. When I hoist myself one last time on my sword before going to be with the Lord, I hope to look out onto the field and see these soldiers of Christ fighting the battle because of some influence I have had in their life that spurred them on to serve the Lord.
We would ask for your prayers for my health. Also, pray for the appointees who are raising their support to go to the field. Pray for the ministry at the Pines that all our children will be fully supported. We would also like to pay off the van in the near future so any gifts designated to the “Van fund” would be appreciated. As the ministry of Ambassadors grows, we are transitioning our finance department to fit the growth. Pray regarding these transitions please.
Thank you for your faithfulness to the Lord. It is all about the Lord. John the Baptist said, “He must increase and I must decrease.” May He be exalted. God bless.
David and Sally

It was great to visit you and to get a lot of work done on this web site. I hope it is a big success for you in furthering your mission.
