Rejoice, rejoice, and again I say rejoice… This is what Ambassadors is experiencing as we write to inform you that the matching grant has been completed and as a result, the van for Ambassadors ministry The Pines Christian Care Center for Children in South Africa, is paid for in full. What a wonderful blessing it was to watch the Lord provides the necessary funds to complete the matching grant. We are so thankful for everyone that participated in helping AIMI meet this goal and great need.
In August 2007, a person (who wishes to remain anonymous) contacted Ambassadors and offered to engage in a matching grant to assist with the cost of the van at The Pines. This was an amazingly generous offer and opportunity that was provided to us. The matching grant information was then placed on the web site and sent out through letters. We began to pray and wait on the Lord. We are once again reminded that everything occurs in the Lord’s time.
“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and supplication with
thanksgiving, let your requests be made known unto God.” – Philippians 4:6
Prior to acquiring the van, The Pines did not have means to transport the children. Also, the simple every day tasks such as purchasing groceries for all the children and house mothers was difficult without the use of a vehicle sufficient enough to accommodate the large quantities that needed to be purchased. The van also allows Ambassadors to reach out and support the community of Welkom with various programs, such as transporting teams to local hospitals to share the gospel with orphans and hosting Bible Clubs in the surrounding areas of Welkom. With the van, Ambassadors has been able to expand its compassion in reaching out to the community and touching the lives of those in need.
With the generous support of people like you, we will be able to help many of these children and individuals not only to meet essential daily needs, but to work toward a brighter future with programs in job training, education, counseling and temporary housing.
For more information on how your donation is helping to make a difference in the lives of so many in our community, we invite you to visit our Web site at www.myaimi.org. You can also find information there on our upcoming events for this year and volunteer opportunities.
AIMI is always accepting contributions which will be used to provide and meet the needs of the community in South Africa. Some of the activities include summer and after-school programs for youth, AIDS education, possibly a community pantry and kitchen, and other programs for community improvement. If you would like to donate, information is provided on this site, or you may contact us.
Thank you again, and we look forward to your continued support of AIMI’s ministries.

Praise God!
