As the verse says, God will supply our needs, not our wants, according to His riches. What a joy to watch Him do this day by day. Ambassadors does not exist to feed itself but rather to facilitate ministry globally. When we do so, we can watch the Lord supply all our needs according to His riches in Christ Jesus. When you trust in men, you get what men can do. When you trust in organizations, you get what organizations can do. But, when we trust in the Lord, we see what the Lord can do. May this be our focus. God bless.

A sovereign God can do sovereign acts and the placing of His hand on one of His servants is something He does. Instead of asking what the secret of success is, we should be asking God to place his good hand on us as we walk and minister before Him. Be ready, however, to give yourself to seek the Word, to do it and to teach it to others. Then, and only then, will the hand of the Lord be upon us. Simple? Yes and no. The good news is that such a presence of God in our lives and ministries is possible. Let us beseech Him for His good hand. How wonderful to be able to say,

“The king granted him all his request, according to the hand of the Lord his God upon him.” Ezra 7:6

Oh may it be so with each of us in the coming days of ministry. Please do it Lord for Your glory!

Productivity is important in the plan of Christ as He goes about building His church in fulfillment of His sovereign declaration in Matthew 16. Our Lord is not slack in doing His work around the world. We will never know the full extent of the church building work of Christ until we reach heaven’s shore. When we do see the results, we will be amazed. Right now, Christ is rapidly building His church in China, Africa and parts of Asia. Christ is no loser. He is the sovereign church builder who is doing a fantastic job. We as His people have the privilege of partnering with Him in this work. He freely invites us to “follow Him” as He moves through time and space.

Thank you again for your partnership in the work of Christ. If you have any question, please do not hesitate to phone us or to contact us through e-mail. To donate your time, talent, or financially, click here.

5 reasons why Ambassadors needs to be engaged in rescuing the children:

Reach - Faith-based organizations (FBO’s) have a very broad presence. FBO’s operate between 40-50% of all the health care and educational facilities on the continent of Africa. The World Bank estimates they have the capacity to reach 95% of the poor, when facilitated to do so.

Call - As a part of practicing their faith, most people in religious communities are called to serve and care for their neighbors or other people in need. This mandate of faith is an important and sustaining motivation factor in the prevention and care for those living with HIV/AIDS.

Sustainability - Long after government programs have finished or non-government organizations (NGO’s) have left the arena, faith institutions remain and are a permanent part of the foundation of local communities and societies at large.

Moral Voice - Because HIV is primarily contracted through sex, addressing sexual behaviors is one of the most important parts of prevention. Faith institutions speak to the deepest human values and beliefs, and are thus best positioned to speak with authority to the intimate practices of individuals and communities.

Hope - Faith-based organizations address issues of the spirit, which is at the core of nurturing and restoring hope for those living with HIV/AIDS, and those who have been orphaned by it. In AIMI’s experience in the field, those who have hope are the best advocates for prevention.

The chief end of man is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever. May He be honored, His kingdom furthered and His will be done on earth. Find out how you can help.

As a brief summary of the blessings of the Lord on The Pines Christian Care Centre, we would like to say that when we are working so hard on developing The Pines, we tend to forget how tremendous this gift of property is for the work of the Lord through Ambassadors. If the Lord had not given us this property, there would be no Pines Christian Care Centre, there would be no missionaries working at The Pines and there would be no hope of helping the children through The Pines. It is amazing when we look at the property and realize that it was only in June 2005 that the Lord gifted Ambassadors with The Pines. When putting a team together to work with such a ministry, one must be sure to place the right people in the right spots. It is such a blessing when one sees a natural fit in ministry and I can say that about the missionaries and the teams that have served at The Pines.

Together we can make a difference and we will make a difference by God’s grace. What we do, we do for His glory alone. As long as we keep our eye on that target we will end up pleasing the Lord. As Pastor David Seefried would say, “to Him belongs the glory.”

Dear Friends,

Pastor David H. Seefried, President and Founder of Ambassadors International Ministries, entered the presence of His Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, March 29th, after a long battle with liver failure. Pastor Dave was surrounded by his wife and children at his home in Longmont, CO, as he passed from earth to heaven. For all who knew Pastor Dave personally and for the supporters of the AIMI ministry who knew Pastor through the legacy of his good works, the loss is profound.

Pastor Dave distinguished himself as a scholar, a mentor, an advisor, a leader, and a gifted speaker of the Gospel, but most of all Pastor Dave was a caring person. His kindness permeated all that he did and touched all who had the privilege to know him and learn from him. You must always remember Pastor Dave as he was. If ever there was a life fully lived to glorify God, it was Pastor Dave.

On behalf of our family, I would like to express our gratitude for the many emails, cards and letters of encouragement.

Rejoice, rejoice, and again I say rejoice… This is what Ambassadors is experiencing as we write to inform you that the matching grant has been completed and as a result, the van for Ambassadors ministry The Pines Christian Care Center for Children in South Africa, is paid for in full. What a wonderful blessing it was to watch the Lord provides the necessary funds to complete the matching grant. We are so thankful for everyone that participated in helping AIMI meet this goal and great need.

In August 2007, a person (who wishes to remain anonymous) contacted Ambassadors and offered to engage in a matching grant to assist with the cost of the van at The Pines. This was an amazingly generous offer and opportunity that was provided to us. The matching grant information was then placed on the web site and sent out through letters. We began to pray and wait on the Lord. We are once again reminded that everything occurs in the Lord’s time.

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and supplication with
thanksgiving, let your requests be made known unto God.” – Philippians 4:6

Prior to acquiring the van, The Pines did not have means to transport the children. Also, the simple every day tasks such as purchasing groceries for all the children and house mothers was difficult without the use of a vehicle sufficient enough to accommodate the large quantities that needed to be purchased. The van also allows Ambassadors to reach out and support the community of Welkom with various programs, such as transporting teams to local hospitals to share the gospel with orphans and hosting Bible Clubs in the surrounding areas of Welkom. With the van, Ambassadors has been able to expand its compassion in reaching out to the community and touching the lives of those in need.

With the generous support of people like you, we will be able to help many of these children and individuals not only to meet essential daily needs, but to work toward a brighter future with programs in job training, education, counseling and temporary housing.

For more information on how your donation is helping to make a difference in the lives of so many in our community, we invite you to visit our Web site at www.myaimi.org. You can also find information there on our upcoming events for this year and volunteer opportunities.

AIMI is always accepting contributions which will be used to provide and meet the needs of the community in South Africa. Some of the activities include summer and after-school programs for youth, AIDS education, possibly a community pantry and kitchen, and other programs for community improvement. If you would like to donate, information is provided on this site, or you may contact us.

Thank you again, and we look forward to your continued support of AIMI’s ministries.

Dear Christian Family,

Once again we are blessed to be able to testify to the Lord’s goodness and faithfulness as He continues His work globally. What a privilege to be called to work with Him in the Harvest field, knowing always that only He can prosper this work and without Him we can do nothing. As we continue on this journey, we continue to praise Him and give Him all the glory.

I am still working through many health issues. Specifically, the last two months have been difficult, as I have been in and out of the hospital with blood infections and other related complications. Your continued prayers regarding my health issues are greatly appreciated and coveted, as I fight to regain my strength and continue this journey. I believe it was David Livingston that said “Man is immortal until God is finished with him”. These words are the basis of my trust during these trials, as I to believe that the Lord is in complete control.

Our missionaries continue to glorify the Lord through their work in the mission field. Some of our missionaries were on the move last month. Rene and Sonia Einfeldt have returned to Kimberley, South Africa after a short, but very busy furlough. They are asking for prayers as they relocate in the Kimberley area and continue with their ministry. Libbey Youngberg, Einfeldt’s short term coworker, has returned to the States after a year in Kimberley and continues to pray for the Lord’s guidance in her future. Brian and Lois Niehoff have returned to the Pines in Welkom after a short vacation in the States. During their absence, Kara and Katherine Bailey, short term missionaries, did a wonderful job of taking on the responsibility of operating the Pines. Kara and Katherine will be returning to the States in December. Ryan and Rachel Einfeldt, the newlyweds, have returned to Cameroon and are settling into their ministries, including their teaching responsibilities. We are thankful for each of our missionaries and their dedication to their ministries. It is a blessing to work with each and every one of them.

Currently we have two couples, Phil and Alana Carmichael and Lou and Amber O’Toole, which are in the process of raising funds to begin ministering at the Pines with Lois and Brian. We are praying that both couples are able to raise sufficient support to begin their ministry in December before or shortly after Kara and Katherine return to the States. If you would like either couple to present their ministry to your church or small group, please contact Ambassadors.

On Saturday, October 13, 2007, there was a serious accident at the Pines. One of the new children at the Pines took the keys to one of the cars as the group was getting ready to depart to conduct a Bible club. Unfortunately, in an attempt to impress the other children, he started the engine of the car. The cars in South Africa do not have the same safety features as the cars in the States and as a result, the car jolted forward and hit Lois Niehoff. Lois broke her ankle in two different places and had to have surgery on Saturday. Lois came through the surgery without any complications and was able to return home on Tuesday, but she will be in a cast for at least six weeks. It was a blessing that Lois’ sister and brother-in-law were at the Pines with a work team during this time and they were able to assist with the care for Lois. Please pray for a speedy recovery for Lois, as well as for Brian as he continues to care for Lois and operate the Pines. We continue to praise the Lord for his protection in this situation.

Ambassadors is going through some changes at this time. First, our son Michael has been appointed by the Ambassadors Board of Directors as the Director of Operations for Ambassadors. Michael will monitor the day to day operations of the various ministries within Ambassadors. Michael is a graduate of Baptist Bible College in Clarks Summit, PA and University of Marywood. After working internationally for several years, Michael comes to us with administration skills, educational experience and years of leadership both internationally and in the United States. A second position was also established by the Board at that time for Torrey Jasper with the understanding that Torrey would need to pray about this decision before accepting the appointment. After much prayer, Torrey has accepted a position with International Baptist Bible College in Arizona. Regrettably this fact was left out of the previous prayer letter. We are sad to see Torrey leave, but trust God’s guidance in his life and wish him well in his future endeavors.

Two things have been added to our new web site www.myaimi.org. First, there is an opportunity for you to participate in a matching grant to complete the purchase of a van for the transportation of the children at The Pines. This would be a great Thanksgiving project for your church or Sunday school class this fall. Secondly, we have added PayPal to the website to make it more convenient for people to donate on-line.

It is hard to believe that we are coming to the end of another year. We are continuously amazed at God’s blessings throughout each year that He has given us to minister. Ambassadors continues to prosper and progress in every way by the grace of God. As Thanksgiving nears, we are reminded that every good and perfect gift is from above. God does not change like shifting shadows, he is an ever constant in which we can put our full trust and faith. We are truly blessed to have such an awesome God to praise and serve.

I am yours in Christ,

David Seefried

Ambassadors International Ministries has been given the opportunity to participate in a matching grant to purchase a much needed van for transporting the children at The Pines Christian Care Center in Welkom, South Africa.

The purpose of The Pines Christian Care Center is to care for children that have been orphaned by the HIV/AIDS pandemic. An anonymous donor has pledged to match each gift contributed to Ambassadors for the van up to $7,000 (half the remaining balance). This means when you donate a particular dollar amount, the donor will contribute an identical amount. For example, if you give a $250.00 donation, the donor will give a $250.00 donation and Ambassadors would then receive $500.00 towards the purchase of the van.

This project will be available for your participation beginning August 1, 2007 and ending on January 1, 2008, or sooner if the goal of $13,500 is met. Only those funds that are designated for the purchase of the van will be used for this matching gift project.

Ambassadors International Ministries is very thankful for this wonderful opportunity that the Lord has provided us. We are thrusting the Lord to open the hearts of many people to join with us in this worthy endeavor. With your participation we can accomplish this necessary goal for God’s glory. Thank you for your prayers that bring hope and help with ministry needs. Thank you for your consideration in giving to this project.

Please designate van fund in the memo line when making your gift payable to Ambassadors International Ministries. As always, all donations are tax deductible.
