Knowing that a Child has been given who is our Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace brings all who know Him great joy all year round. This One called Jesus saves His people from their sin. It is to Christ that we give all praise and thanksgiving. What an unspeakable Gift the Lord has given to us.

God’s Supply

“And my God will meet all your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19

As the verse says, God will supply our needs, not our wants, according to His riches. What a joy to watch Him do this day by day. Ambassadors does not exist to feed itself but rather to facilitate ministry globally. When we do so, we can watch the Lord supply all our needs according to His riches in Christ Jesus. When you trust in men, you get what men can do. When you trust in organizations, you get what organizations can do. But, when we trust in the Lord, we see what the Lord can do. May this be our focus. AIMI 2007 Audit/Review

We prepare financial statements yearly by an independent audit firm. We use board-approved standard operating policies and procedures to assure the proper use of funds. We consider effective use of ministry resources a matter of stewardship responsibility before God and accuracy in reporting and fundraising to be a matter of integrity.

The AIMI Board has met with the staff of Brock and Company of Longmont, CO, to review and accept the yearly audit/review for the fiscal year ending 31 December 2007. The report is on file and can be viewed at the headquarters of Ambassadors International Ministries, Inc. and on the AIMI web site by clicking here.

The Good Hand of God On Us

A sovereign God can do sovereign acts and the placing of His hand on one of His servants is something He does. Instead of asking what the secret of success is, we should be asking God to place his good hand on us as we walk and minister before Him. Be ready, however, to give yourself to seek the Word, to do it and to teach it to others. Then, and only then, will the hand of the Lord be upon us. Simple? Yes and no. The good news is that such a presence of God in our lives and ministries is possible. Let us beseech Him for His good hand. How wonderful to be able to say,

“The king granted him all his request, according to the hand of the Lord his God upon him.” Ezra 7:6

Oh may it be so with each of us in the coming days of ministry. Please do it Lord for Your glory!

November Update

In the Spring of 2005, Ambassador’s ministry, The Pines Christian Care Centre, was born from Christian compassion that drives us to do what we can to alleviate pain and suffering caused by the HIV/AIDS pandemic in South Africa. The Pines Christian Care Centre exists to assist in caring for the children affected and infected and to diminish the spread of HIV infection in South Africa. The hope of Ambassadors is that this property will continue to be used for God’s glory by helping children, teens and adults through a holistic approach to ministry.

Why Follow Christ?

Why are we following Christ today? Hopefully we can answer because we love Him. Trials test the purity of our resolve. Perhaps today we will confront something that will cause us to question God’s goodness. Remember, we serve Him because we love Him, not because He makes everything run smoothly for us. Let us serve Him today because we love Him, not for what we can get from Him. He is so good!

You, God, and His Church

Productivity is important in the plan of Christ as He goes about building His church in fulfillment of His sovereign declaration in Matthew 16. Our Lord is not slack in doing His work around the world. We will never know the full extent of the church building work of Christ until we reach heaven’s shore. When we do see the results, we will be amazed. Right now, Christ is rapidly building His church in China, Africa and parts of Asia. Christ is no loser. He is the sovereign church builder who is doing a fantastic job. We as His people have the privilege of partnering with Him in this work. He freely invites us to “follow Him” as He moves through time and space.

Why Rescue the Children?

5 reasons why Ambassadors needs to be engaged in rescuing the children:

Reach - Faith-based organizations (FBO’s) have a very broad presence. FBO’s operate between 40-50% of all the health care and educational facilities on the continent of Africa. The World Bank estimates they have the capacity to reach 95% of the poor, when facilitated to do so.

Call - As a part of practicing their faith, most people in religious communities are called to serve and care for their neighbors or other people in need. This mandate of faith is an important and sustaining motivation factor in the prevention and care for those living with HIV/AIDS.

Sustainability - Long after government programs have finished or non-government organizations (NGO’s) have left the arena, faith institutions remain and are a permanent part of the foundation of local communities and societies at large.

Moral Voice - Because HIV is primarily contracted through sex, addressing sexual behaviors is one of the most important parts of prevention. Faith institutions speak to the deepest human values and beliefs, and are thus best positioned to speak with authority to the intimate practices of individuals and communities.

Hope - Faith-based organizations address issues of the spirit, which is at the core of nurturing and restoring hope for those living with HIV/AIDS, and those who have been orphaned by it. In AIMI’s experience in the field, those who have hope are the best advocates for prevention.

The Gift of The Pines

As a brief summary of the blessings of the Lord on The Pines Christian Care Centre, we would like to say that when we are working so hard on developing The Pines, we tend to forget how tremendous this gift of property is for the work of the Lord through Ambassadors. If the Lord had not given us this property, there would be no Pines Christian Care Centre, there would be no missionaries working at The Pines and there would be no hope of helping the children through The Pines. It is amazing when we look at the property and realize that it was only in June 2005 that the Lord gifted Ambassadors with The Pines. When putting a team together to work with such a ministry, one must be sure to place the right people in the right spots. It is such a blessing when one sees a natural fit in ministry and I can say that about the missionaries and the teams that have served at The Pines.

Together we can make a difference and we will make a difference by God’s grace. What we do, we do for His glory alone. As long as we keep our eye on that target we will end up pleasing the Lord. As Pastor David Seefried would say, “to Him belongs the glory.”

October Update

The Change Factor - When Paul began his second term of missionary service, he suggested to Barnabas that they return to check up on churches they had previously visited (Acts 15:36). Instead, Paul traveled with Silas rather than Barnabas; he traveled to Macedonia, not Asia; and he met new people rather than visiting friends he had met before. Paul adapted to these changes and continued his successful missionary journeys. In the midst of the present and anticipated changes that surround us, we trust in Christ, whose love and grace never change.

We are pleased that more people have committed to AIMI’s “Support the Orphans” program. We are looking for more supporters for some new children who have come under the care of Ambassadors through The Pines Christian Care Centre. Donors receive an update from The Pines on the child’s progress and prayer needs. In return, we ask that donors please pray that your child will grow in understanding Jesus in a personal way. Can you help in this endeavor? The Lord will reward you greatly for helping a child who has little in this world and who often has no hope. Join the others in supporting an orphan.

Arrival in South Africa

Praise the Lord! Sally Seefried, AIMI Interim Executive Director, safely arrived in South Africa to visit and fellowship with the AIMI missionaries and Board Members. She attended Temba Baptist Church and in the afternoon she had the opportunity to fellowship with many of her South African friends.

Birth Announcement

God has blessed Louis and Amber O’Tool with a beautiful baby boy! The O’Tools are AIMI missionaries to South Africa serving at The Pines Christian Care Centre. Amber delivered a healthy baby boy on Friday, 12 September 2008. Their baby’s name is Drake Thomas O’Tool; he weighs 9lbs 3oz, and is 21.5 inches long. Big sister, Meredith will be a wonderful loving sister and we are sure she is excited to have a brother. “Behold, children are a gift of the Lord…” Psalms 127:3

September Update

As we look back over the past months we see many ups and downs, great joy and some pain. In the greater providence of God we can say that nothing we experienced has been outside of His control. In the bestowing of great blessings and in leading us through trials, we have seen the Lord’s hand. The Lord has seen all that has transpired. Second, the Lord uses all that has transpired for our good (Rom. 8:28). Life is a lesson and we are taking those lessons and with determination, applying them to missions, making the changes we can to further the cause of Christ.
