Q. What is EFT?
A. EFT is the abbreviation for Electronic Funds Transfer, a technique used by the banking system to debit and credit bank accounts within a bank or between banks without the exchange of a paper document. Like the “direct deposit” option you may have with your payroll check, EFT donations to Ambassadors are “direct debit” donations that come out of your account automatically each month.

Q. How do I set up EFT donations?
A. Using the EFT Authorization Form, fill out page one including your contact information and the ministry or fund(s) you wish your donation to be attributed to. Include a voided check as well as a check for the first month’s donation, as it will take approximately one month for the EFT process to begin. Full instructions are included on the EFT Authorization Form.

Q. What day of the month are donations withdrawn from my account?
A. You can choose when you sign up to have your donations automatically deducted on the 5th, 15th, or the 25th of each month.

Q. Can I automatically give monthly by credit card?
A. Not at this time. Currently our EFT Program only covers automatic monthly deductions from an account with checking privileges. You can give online manually via credit card at any time.

Q. What happens if I change banks or wish to use a different checking account?
A. Complete and return page 2 only of the EFT Authorization Form, including a voided check from your new account. Your original EFT will be cancelled and a new one initiated.

Q. What if I want to cancel my EFT donation?
A. EFT donations can be cancelled at any time. Just fill out and return page 2 of the EFT Authorization form and check the box to cancel.
