Replace the Pines Stolen Van
On October 13th, 2011 at 5:30 a.m. we received a phone call that our Pines kombi (van) had been stolen. Last week Sunday, 15 of our children, along with Pastor Manaka and his family, headed for an honor roll trip to Durban, all expenses paid. What an exciting venture for some of our children who had never seen the ocean. We never would have dreamed it would end up this way. As we work our way through insurance forms, police reports and figuring a way to get 19 people home, we realize this did not surprise our Lord and He is in control of all aspects of our lives and ministry.
Our Need for a Mini-Bus is Now Intensified!
We now find ourselves seriously short for our transportation needs for our Pines family of 27 children, and 4 houseparents. We ask that you would join with us in prayer and financial giving towards a (new to us) mini-bus. The insurance company has given us some money toward another vehicle, but not anywhere near what we will need to purchase something to meet our needs. If you would like to help with this urgent need, please use the form below, or you may mail a check to the address below designating it to “Stolen Van Fund.”
We truly serve an awesome God who is able to do above and beyond what we could ever imagine. He has not let us down and we know He will continue to bless this His ministry to children in need.
